This role will require someone with a 'can do' attitude, a commercial approach, demonstrable attention to detail, and a team player with exceptional communication skills to build rapport with colleagues and customers.
The successful candidate will report to the Hazardous Commercial Manager and must be hardworking, reliable, and possess excellent communication & inter personal skills.

The successful candidate will have the following key responsibilities: Securing new business for McQuillan Environmental, including sales for both laboratory and waste management services.
Generating new leads through various channels such as telesales, cold calling, outbound sales calls and attending exhibitions.
The role will involve communicating with customers via email telephone and in person site visits.
Proactive outbound calls to build and maintain relationships with both new and current customers, with the aim to retain and cross sell McQuillan Companies services.
Ensuring new sales targets are achieved within your target area.
Provide waste & laboratory solutions to a variety of industries.
Assisting in the development of the future sales strategy.
Managing and resolving customer issues in a timely manner.
Administrative Tasks including preparing sales quotations, sales reports, schedule meetings and handle customer queries.
Researching & assisting with procurement exercises for new suppliers and service providers.
Maintaining a strong understanding of the companys services, as well as industry trends and competitors.
Supporting the sales team in organising and participating in sales events, trade shows and conferences.
Use of bespoke software.
Full training will be provided.

Essential Criteria: Previous sales experience preferably within the waste, laboratory or pharmaceutical industry.
Laboratory, waste management or pharmaceutical -based candidate looking to diversify their skills into a commercial role.
Excellent communication skills: clear, effective and authoritative in spoken communication, high standard of written English, able to state a case clearly, logically and concisely.
Ability to work in a team situation.
UK Driving licence is essential.
Willingness to travel throughout NI, ROI & GB.
Computer literate Desirable Criteria: Chemistry or Science Based Subject-qualifications are a plus however strong sales skills are the primary focus.
Background in the Laboratory, Waste or Pharmaceutical industry preferred however full training will be provided.
