Job Description SBS are looking for a Business Consultant to join our Specialist Banking professional services team.
Our software helps manage front-to-back retail deposit-taking for personal and B2B, specialist lending, particularly property development lending and bridging finance.
As a consultant within the Professional Services Team, you will be responsible for providing business and software consultancy services to our clients using the Aurius solution in the UK.  What does the role involve?
Analyse business needs and gather client requirements.
Collaborate with clients on data discovery and document workflows and rules.
Design solutions that meet client needs using business and product expertise.
Create functional specifications for standard or customised solutions.
Provide operational support during implementations or upgrades (on-site or remote).
Define and execute test plans, ensuring high-quality solutions.
Support clients during UAT and resolve solution-related issues.
Provide feedback to project managers, proactively addressing potential challenges.
Develop procedures for application controls and offer general application support.
Qualifications What are we looking for?
Strong understanding of Financial Services operations (front/middle/back office).
Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
Ability to multitask, adapt quickly, and work under tight deadlines.
Team player with ownership of projects and a results-oriented mindset.
Strong problem-solving, organisational, and time management skills.
It would be a bonus if you had: Experience in consulting or software implementation within Financial Services.
Financial accounting or audit background, with knowledge of double-entry accounting.
Familiarity with business process management, enterprise reporting, and data warehousing.
Understanding of current technologies, including SQL, Java basics, SVN, Microsoft/Linux, and JIRA.
