We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in developing Business Management Systems (BMS), ideally within the translation and localization industry.
The individual will work closely with stakeholders to design, document, and implement a system that streamlines business operations, improves workflow efficiency, and supports scalable growth.
The role: Contract: Fixed-term (6 months) Salary: Competitive Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with teams to identify and document the core business needs for the translations BMS.
Facilitate workshops and interviews with key stakeholders to understand the full scope of the translation workflows, project management, financial tracking, and reporting requirements.
Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications.
Process Mapping: Conduct a comprehensive analysis of current business workflows, tools, and technologies used in the agency.
Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for automation within a tool for project management, finance, vendor management, and client delivery.
Create detailed process maps to visualise the BMS's functionality and integration points with other systems. Technical Evaluation and Recommendations: Collaborate with IT teams to assess current technology stack and make recommendations for tools, platforms, or integrations that best support the BMS.
Design integration workflows for external tools such as CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools, invoicing systems, and CRMs to enhance overall business efficiency.
Work with developers to ensure that the proposed BMS architecture meets scalability, security, and performance standards.
As well as the above, you will support the agency by developing clear roadmaps, documenting processes, ensuring compliance and acting as the liaison between key stakeholders.
About you: Proven experience as a Business Analyst in software development, preferably with experience developing Business Management Systems for a translation agency or similar service-based industry.
Proficiency in process mapping, business process re-engineering, and system design.
Experience with system integrations, APIs, and data migration strategies.
Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management, requirement documentation, and system training.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate between departments and external teams.
Knowledge of GDPR and other data privacy regulations.
