The Bushfit Honer's main tasks are: Check component and bush log for accuracyInstall bushes / bearings.
Check bushes dimensionally.
Using workshop manuals and drawingsUsing imperial calibrated measuring equipment Swage bushings with the suitable method (pressure, roller, stake, material displacing)Wire lock bolts / bushesUse of cryogenics / ovensCarry out hardness checks of componentsTo maintain knowledge of HPA's working procedures pertinent for the job functionPerformance of tasks delegated by the Area SupervisorHone bushes to final sizeCarry out hardness tests using appropriate machineAn awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company's environmental proceduresYou will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) bookYou may be required to train personnel with a specified area subject to your qualifications and experienceAll duties shall be undertaken in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures The ideal Bushfit Honer should meet the following requirements: Engineering apprenticeshipAbility to measure using imperial measuring equipmentAerospace background not essential but would be preferredAbility to work under pressureAccuracy and job satisfactionWell organised, punctual, quality conscious, flexibleThe ability to work within a team environmentFull time roleCandidate must have the right to live and work in the UK unrestrictedMandatory training will be required
