We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Lancashire to assist with the appointment of a Buildings Cleaner , on a 5.5-month contract , highly likely to be extended at clients discretion.

Hours per week:16.25 Rate of Pay: £11.44 - £14.11 per Hour Responsibilities: To clean all internal and some external areas of University Buildings To use cleaning equipment as directed, including buffers, vacuums and scrubbers.
To ensure all equipment is used in accordance with health and safety guidelines, including the reporting of faults immediately.
To use cleaning products in accordance with health and safety guidelines, paying particular attention to the correct use of chemicals in accordance with COSHH regulations.
To maintain the appearance of University areas and the exterior of buildings by removing unwanted posters, etcetera and promote a positive image of the University at all times.
To replenish toilet supplies as required and undertake tasks including dusting, vacuuming, carpet shampooing, washing floors, cleaning toilets and basic external cleaning as identified.
Qualifications: Basic level of literacy and numeracy required.
To be able to understand instruction.
Experience of working in a cleaning operation in a customer orientated environment.
