We already deliver exceptional standards of property management to the retired leasehold market and a first-class service to over 10,000 Homeowners nationwide, providing enjoyable, safe and worry-free retirement living.About the roleWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Building Surveyor to join our Property Services team.
Reporting to the Head of Property Services, the Building Surveyor will be responsible for ensuring our customers are provided with the highest level of service and retirement accommodation by undertaking the following:Managing external and internal building and associated service repairs, maintenance, refurbishments and 'Section 20' works across the Churchill Estates retirement portfolio, liaising with external consultants and contractors where required.Ensure that developments remain compliant, fit for purpose and maintained to the highest quality standards.Undertake on-site property surveys to provide reliable stock condition data for the future asset management and maintenance of the portfolio.To support the operations team with property related queries and processes, maintaining excellent communications and relations with internal customers and stakeholders including the Property Services team, Lodge Managers, Regional and Area Management teams.The role of the Building Surveyor is operational, and the responsibilities of the post may vary in line with the company's growth or through personal training and development plans.The nature of the role will require flexibility to travel to various parts of the UK (mainly England) for which a company car or car allowance is provided.About youWith Homeowners at the heart of what we do, it's important that you share our passion for excellent customer service and our mission to provide enjoyable, safe and worry-free retirement living spaces and accommodation.You will demonstrate sound knowledge and experience of construction, building defect fault analysis and rectification measures, property maintenance, Health & Safety, Building Regulations and other building related issues.You will be qualified to a Degree / HND / HNC Level, preferably in property construction / engineering / surveying, and either hold, or be working towards, a professional qualification in construction such as RICS or CIOB.Your relationship management, communication and listening skills will extend beyond our customers to a broad range of suppliers, contractors and internal customers and stakeholders.The successful person will be highly organised, have excellent IT skills including MS Office applications, an eye for detail and a 'can-do' attitude.
