We are currently partnering with a South Wales based Housing Association, who are recruiting for a Reactive Maintenance Surveyor to join their growing team on a permanent basis.Our client is a small housing association, whose stock covers the length of the M4 corridor in South Wales, and are looking to take on a Surveyor to take full responsibility for their reactive maintenance and damp and mould surveying.This is a full-time position with a £38,000 per annum and the start date is subject to notice.Duties will include (but are not limited to):Carrying out reactive maintenance and damp and mould surveys within domestic dwellings, largely within purpose built flats for elderly livingIdentifying causes of damp and mouldCreating specifications for remedial works, and liaising with contractors to arrangeEnsuring all works fall in line with WHQSUpdating asset management databases with works that have been carried out, as well making a note of timelines for any cyclical maintenanceCompliance: Planning and coordinating works for EICRs, FRAs, Gas Safety checks and managing the asbestos and legionella registerCarrying out stock condition surveys as requiredExperience required:Experience in Social HousingExperience dealing with tenantsSkills, knowledge and expertise required:Damp and Mould knowledgeA strong understanding of property complianceRewards and Benefits:25 days annual leave, rising to 30 based on length of serviceUp to 8% pension contribution3 days a week from homeWorking hours:35 hours per weekMonday – FridayPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
