Building Services Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Building Services Manager to join our clients team within an educational establishment.

This key role is integral to maintaining the buildings physical infrastructure, facilities, and high-quality support services, ensuring the smooth and effective operation of our research and teaching activities.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the building and facilities team, including the electronic technician and workshop team.
Oversee and coordinate breakdown and preventive maintenance programmes for the Department's facilities.
Plan, manage, and coordinate building and refurbishment projects.
Work closely with the safety team to ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and guidance.
Act as the Department Fire Manager, ensuring fire safety compliance across the Department.
Candidate Requirements: A degree level qualification in a relevant subject (or equivalent professional qualification).
Proven experience in building maintenance and managing building-related projects.
Solid knowledge of Health & Safety and Fire Safety legislation.
Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
Strong leadership abilities to manage and develop a team, ensuring the efficient operation of building services to support the Department's research objectives.
