Our client is a dynamic and growing multi-disciplinary property and construction consultancy, with offices nationwide.
They provide a wide range of services across many industry sectors, including commercial, education, defence, residential, and more.
Due to their ongoing success and strong project pipeline, they now require a Principal Designer to join them on a full-time, permanent basis from one of their growing offices in Central London, Essex, Cambridge, Norwich, Oxford, and Nottingham.
The role will come with hybrid working, a salary of up to £65k depending on experience, and an excellent benefits package.

Building Regulations Principal Designer Position Overview Reporting to the H&S Director and managing their own job list.
Responsibilities include:
Coordinate internal technical experts in architecture, building surveying, structures, and building services engineering to deliver Organisational Competence for the BR PD Role.Collate and comment on all Design Risk compliance documents.Produce, review, and update a BSA compliance Risk Register / Project Compliance Coordination Record.Assist the Client in preparing competence declarations.Coordinate the review of the full design package by internal specialists and highlight Building Regulations compliance.Gather input and coordinate with internal technical specialists.Assist in preparing the project Building Regulations conformance statement and other BR PD duties.Assess necessary involvement during the Construction Phase by setting out visits, requirements, and information to be provided by the Principal Contractor.Conduct periodic inspections of the works as defined in the scope for each project.Coordinate and gather any variations to the design that may impact Building Regulation compliance.Lead all BR PD jobs in terms of coordinating internal resources, undertaking work within the BRPD/BS scope, managing fees, and reporting to the Director of Health and Safety. Building Regulations Principal Designer Position Requirements Proven experience within a CDM / Health & Safety advisor role or a Building Control, Building Surveying, or Clerk Of Works background.Ability to commute to one of the offices in Central London, Essex, Cambridge, Norwich, Oxford, or Nottingham.NEBOSH certificate or other relevant qualification.Membership of or working towards AaPs, IMaPS, and IOSH or IIRSM.
