The Estates Department is looking for a Building Craftsperson (carpentry bias) with a background preferably gained in a building services or healthcare environment.
Works will also include minor painting tasks, lock maintenance and drainage clearance and inspections.
Main duties of the job The successful applicant's primary duties will be to mostly undertake building and minor improvement tasks across the Trust's properties and for its contracted customers, ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures.
The applicant must have the physical ability and agility to carry out manual handling.
Additional training will be provided for a successful applicant where they do not fully meet the person have a current full UK driving license.

Person Specification Training Essential A minimum qualification level of NVQ level 3 Health & Safety awareness training Desirable Access equipment qualifications Asbestos awareness training Experience & Knowledge Essential Completion of a structured training programme in a suitable trade related field.
Knowledge of specialist drainage clearing equipment, fire door maintenance, carpentry, wood working machines, building fabric, operation of site gritting equipment Desirable Experience of working in an acute hospital environment Skills & Ability Essential Good communication skills Ability to work at times without supervision Desirable Adaptable to change
