This role is part time working 16hrs per work for initially a 6 month period, however its is very possible this will be extended.
This role will be responsible for supporting the management and delivery of the Education programme ensuring students achieve aspirational education outcomes.
You will have a specific focus on the delivery of the Apprenticeship and Education provision for our Professional Development Phase (players aged 16-18 years old) making a real impact to their development You will plan the delivery of the BTEC in Sporting Excellence Professional and the Sporting Excellence Professional Apprenticeship, ensuring outstanding lessons to improve players understanding on topics to support their performance.
An essential element of this will be to track and monitor learner progress and provide effective feedback.
You may also support the delivery of the BTEC Level 2 in Sport working in conjunction with the Academy s Education partner.
This role will require you to work flexibly in your delivery as you will be working within a dynamic environment.
You will work collaboratively as part of the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) and a key part of your role will be building positive and proactive relationships with all a range of stakeholders.
We are looking for an individual capable of forming strong relationships and can support young people and empathise to the challenges and demands placed upon young elite performers.
Key requirements and experience Demonstrable experience of working within a high-performance sporting/educational environment and/or with young elite performers Grade C or above in English and Maths (or equivalent) Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) / Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills Status (QTLS) or equivalent Experience of teaching at Post-16 Further Education or equivalent Strong IT skills (proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel / databases) Experience of managing projects, planning implementation and evaluation Sound understanding and knowledge of activities that will support a young person s development and the emotional and well being demands that are placed upon them as young elite performers Ability to form positive and proactive relationships at all levels and across all stakeholders Clear and concise communicator with effective questioning and listening skills Proven experience of working within a team to produce measurable results For more information on this role please don't hesitate to express your interest, the team at GPRS will be more than happy to discuss this role with you in more detail.
