BSL Support Worker - Bradford Do you want to support secondary SEN students with hearing difficulties to flourish in their education using BSL?
We are looking for a number of full time BSL Support workers who can use British Sign Language (BSL) to support a client school in Bradford with 101 care.
The new cohort of EHCP students has a large number of deaf pupils entering the school.
Your role will be to engage in conversation with the students by using British Sign Language, allowing them to feel less isolated and supported, check in on their wellbeing, build a relationship and support their academic achievement.
You will be supporting and relaying information from the class teacher specifically in the school located just by Bradford train stations.
Skills and Experience Required: Confident using British Sign Language to Level 2 Standard, including over video call Good communication skills SEN Teaching Assistant, support or care work are all beneficial but not essential Role Benefits: Work in a brand new state of the art SEN provision with excellent public transport links and on-site parking Full time position starting September 2021 Earn GBP1350 per month Work for one of the largest colleges in the UK, with excellent CPD and support provided Any successful applicant would be subject to DBS and Right to work UK checks so relevant documents will be requested.
