Broadcast Manager – Sport Work Championship Working in the Broadcast function of the Media Team, you will manage and oversee the broadcast operation at multiple race events.
You will be a key link between the host broadcaster, rights-holding broadcasters, and Client both on event and in the office during planning stages.
Your role will manage broadcast partners and production partners.
Your aim will be to plan the best possible experience for both remote and attending partners and facilitate a range of different set-ups.
Broadcasting and Rights-Holder exposure is essential for this role.
Duties & Responsibilities: Work closely with Event Operations and the wider media and content team in the delivery of all race events.
Oversee day-to-day operational management of broadcast partners, facilitating a range of technical set-ups in the planning and on-site phase.
Manage access opportunities and bespoke content shoots for broadcast partners.
Update the information portal with running orders, schedules, venue overlays, wayfinding maps, and other useful resources for broadcast partners, ensuring information is accurate and published in line with the booking deadlines.
Work closely with other departments within the ecosystem to ensure all accreditation, catering, and signage requirements are in place.
Operations Project Management: Confidently represent the Broadcast team at large-scale planning meetings.
Strong organisational skills to oversee multiple projects and race events at different stages of delivery.
Support new production innovations to ensure the quality and efficiency of the broadcast output.
Client-Facing Services: Manage all international rights-holders both on-site and remotely with their production plans.
Run the on-site production support services desk with a calm and proactive approach.
Support contractual production deliverables.
Production Paperwork: Build delivery schedules for events ensuring that the broadcast suppliers align with all interdependent departments.
Collate, check, and distribute all race-related information including satellite and fibre details, running orders, scripts, and editorial guidelines.
Confident with learning new technology systems.
Raise purchase orders, build presentations, compile debriefs, and reports as required.
Experience Required: Strong experience in the broadcast industry.
Proven skills supporting the delivery of a large-scale broadcast product.
Knowledge Required: Industry knowledge of broadcast technology, distribution, and content platforms.
Knowledge of UK health & safety legislation.
Understanding the ' global broadcast partners.
Skills and Aptitudes Required: Proven customer service skills in diverse cultural environments.
Excellent organisational skills including budget planning and overseeing large multi-skilled crews.
Excellent spoken and written English; additional languages beneficial.
