Breakfast Club And After School Club Leader - Gatehouse Primary Academy (First Federation Trust)

First Federation Trust a Multi Academy Trust of 29 primary schools across Devon, Plymouth and West Dorset are looking to appoint an After School Club Playleader at Gatehouse Primary Academy, Dawlish.
This is a permanent position for 4 hours per day, ideally for 5 days a week, term time only.
We are looking for a warm and caring individual to lead our wrap around care facility at our school.The key purpose of the job is to:Take day-to-day responsibility for the running of the Out-of-school childcare provisionCo-ordinate the provision of a caring, safe, secure and stimulating environmentSupervise staff and volunteers, including ensuring they are supported in order to offer the highest quality provisionUndertake the role of the Designated Safeguarding Officer (DSO) for the Out of School Club setting in liaison with the DSO for the School (training will be given)Daily manage the staff team, including managing rotas, and handling absences/ holiday/ sicknessDemonstrate previous experience in a playwork environment, working with school-aged children in a voluntary or paid capacityIdeally have a full and relevant level 3 qualification or demonstrate competence at level 3 and a full and relevant level 2 qualification.You will be a friendly, enthusiastic and well-organised individual who can build a rapport with pupils, parents, staff and visitors alike.
