BOOKKEEPER / PAYROLL – BILLERICAY, ESSEX Working for a friendly Billericay Accountancy Practice.
Part-time or full time Essential – Experienced, working for an Accountancy Practice.
General Description – Bookkeeper / Payroll To assist in the accounts department with the client bookkeeping function and manage payroll processes for a variety of clients.
Main Duties of the post Working with your own portfolio of accounts, carry out client bookkeeping services, using SAGE50, Excel, Quickbooks, Xero, VT and other online based accounting platforms.
Posting information to accounting journals and reconciling accounts to ensure their accuracy.
• Prepare and file quarterly VAT returns • Carry out bank, sales and purchase ledger reconciliations • Liaise with clients, HMRC and other third party contacts • Review VAT returns prepared by colleagues Managing a portfolio of clients, consisting of weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls.
Around 140 payrolls per month (75 of which are automated) • RTI processing.
• Processing auto-enrolment through various pension providers.
• Calculate sick pay, over time & holiday pay/Calculation of tax & NIC Contributions.
• File all payroll related matters Person Specification - Bookkeeper / Payroll Communication - Strong communication skills, verbally articulate with good grammar.
Positive attitude with strong work ethic - Upbeat and optimistic, motivated and dedicated to getting the job done
