Job Title:             Body Shop Assistant Location:             Atherton Salary:                 £28K-£30K Hours:                  Monday to Friday 7am – 5pm (Day shift) Contract:             Full-Time and Permanent Overtime:           Available and paid at 1.5X Benefits:             Health plan, increasing holiday allowance, half/full year bonus schemes, and free onsite parking.
Exciting Opportunity for a Body Shop Assistant in Atherton!
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic  Body Shop Assistant  with a strong desire to learn and grow within the truck and trailer industry.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about vehicles and interested in developing the skills necessary to progress into a Prepper/Painter role.
Key Responsibilities for the Body Shop Assistant role Support Prepping Tasks:  Assist in preparing trucks and trailers for painting, including sanding, masking, and cleaning surfaces to ensure quality finishes.
Workshop Maintenance:  Keep the workshop clean, tidy, and organized to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Material Handling:  Manage tools, paints, and materials, ensuring they are properly stored and readily available.
Learning & Development:  Shadow experienced team members to gain hands-on knowledge of vehicle preparation and painting techniques.
Assisting the Team:  Provide general support to the body shop team as required, helping with minor tasks and learning the workflow of the shop.
Required Skills and Experience for the Body Shop Assistant role A genuine interest in trucks, trailers, and the vehicle repair industry.
Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from experienced professionals.
A proactive and positive attitude with attention to detail.
Strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in the workshop.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
