Data Centre - Controls Biased Engineer OTE Circa £60,000 to £65,000 (including Annual Bonus (Estimated to be 15%)/ Shift Allowance 25%) Overtime Opportunities Personal Training Development Budget Company Shares given annually.
Private Healthcare + Private Dental + Private Optician Working Direct for the end user Based in Hertfordshire About the Role: The Data Centre team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and HVAC systems in the world.
The Facilities Technicians at this Data centre operate, monitor, and support physical facilities conditions.
Qualifications: Ideally have completed an Electrical or Electronic Apprenticeship or equivalent City & Guilds or BTEC qualifications.
BMS System House training such as Honeywell, Trend, Satchwell etc.
Industrial controls, including SCADA, PLC experience.
Entry Level 2 years of hands-on controls maintenance experience in both industrial or commercial environments.
Preferred Experience: 2 years' experience in carrying out the maintenance and repairs to control systems whether commercial BMS or Industrial SCADA PLC's Experience in Critical Engineering Environment such as Data Centres hospitals, pharmaceutical, power plants, manufacturing, production, heavy industrial or EX forces etc.
Knowledge of the controls associated with electrical systems Low, medium, high voltage and power backup systems.
Knowledge of the close control of Temperature & Humidity within close tolerances.
Experience of front-end operation and hardware maintenance and repairs: including: Temperature sensors, humidity stats, dampers, 3&4 port valves etc.
Duties & Responsibilities: Maintenance, Operation and Rectification of system Faults and breakdowns Control of Heating, cooling and humidification to close tolerances.
Recommendations for system improvements & upgrades.
Monitoring systems, recording, and evaluating M&E systems data and operational costs while improving overall data centre efficiency.
You ensure that environmental and safety standards are consistently met, identifying problems, and making repairs quickly.
In emergency situations or abnormal conditions, you manage data centre performance issues and outages to minimize the recovery time from failures.
As a Data Centre Facilities Technician, you will operate, monitor, and support physical facilities conditions for the Data C UK Right to Work Documents must be in place sponsorship cannot be provided by the employer
