What we do
We'recommitted to keeping elderly and vulnerablepeople living in the comfort of their own homes (as an alternative to residential care)throughout Andover, Stockbridgeand the surrounding areas .
This means you do need to drive and have your own vehicle to work for us.
While many companies only pay Care Assistants for contact time, we believe you should be paid for every minute you work, so wepay for bothtravel time andmileage .
On average, travel time equates to 10% of your working time, so put simply,working for a company that doesn't paytravel time means you'll be unpaid for 10% of every working day.
Responsibilitiesof a Care Assistant
Including but not limited to:
Personal care duties Administering medication Manual handling, using equipment where required Promoting customer health and wellbeing Companionship and help with activities/appointments Plan, prepare and cook nutritious meals Shopping and domestic tasks around the home Working every other weekend, or one day every weekend To become a Care Assistant, you need: Full and valid UK driving licence Access to a car/vehicle Right to work in the UK (unfortunately we cannot provide sponsorship) No experience as full training is provided Excellent level of English To be aged 18+ In addition to a secure and stable career,we offer: £12.48-£14p/hr (based on experience) PAID travel time (£11.46 p/hr) PAID mileage Enhanced bank holiday rate Significant investment in your career development (up to £5,000 within your first two years) Level 2 qualification in health & social care Defined career pathway Full induction training and ongoing support Dementia training as standard Full-time & part-time opportunities Variety of shift patterns (inc. some weekend hours) Term-time contracts for working parents Refer a friend (up to £250 per person) Refer a customer (up to £100 per customer) Health cover cashback scheme (over £1,000 per year) Hastee financial wellbeing Funded Blue Light Card membership 28 days paid holiday(pro rata) Length of service benefit Free uniform and company smartphone Vehicle repairs discounts Use of company car(if you break down) Contribution to DBS check
