We're on the hunt for an ambitious Biomedical Scientist nightworker to join our dedicated Haematology and Blood Transfusion team.

Main duties of the job Preparation and provision of blood and blood products to requesting clinicians who have prescribed transfusion care of their patients.Maintaining complex analytical equipment, sample analysis, technical validation and reporting of results including morphology, supervising unqualified staff and deputising for section leads when necessary.Recording and reporting of incidents/complaints involving staff, patients and visitors in accordance with Trust policies and assisting in the investigations as required.

NWLP Induction The NWLP induction will run on the first Monday of each month (provided it does not fall on a bank holiday) and includes laboratory training (for relevant laboratory roles).
All new staff must attend the NWLP induction during their first week with NWLP.
