Your new company HAYS Building Services is excited to partner with one of the province's top main contractors to find an experienced MEP Bids Manager for their Pre-Construction team.

Your new role As the Bids Manager, you will oversee the entire MEP bid process, ensuring high-quality, competitive proposals are delivered on time.
Oversee the end-to-end bid process, ensuring all proposals are completed accurately and submitted on time.
Liaise with senior management and other key stakeholders to gather input and ensure alignment on bid strategies.
Develop and maintain relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring proposals meet their requirements.
Coordinate with internal teams, including estimating, procurement, and project management, to gather necessary information for bids.
Lead negotiations with clients and subcontractors to secure the best possible terms and conditions.
Assess and record the likely competition for each bid, developing strategies to enhance the company's competitive position.
Ensure all bids comply with corporate and client-specific procedures and standards.
Conduct handover meetings to brief project teams on the details of successful bids.
Identify areas for improvement in the bid process and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
What you'll need to succeed 2+ years' experience in bid management in the construction or engineering sectors.
Extensive experience of working on Design & Build projects in the UK.
Familiarity with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems is a plus.
Strong project management and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency in negotiation and strategic planning.
