I am currently recruiting for a Bid Consultant for a growing bid consultancy.
My client works across a number of sectors including healthcare, construction, facilities management, civil engineering, IT and legal to name a few, so they are completely flexible on what sectors / background candidates come from.
About the role - Managing subject matter experts through the tender production process - Utilising various tools to assist subject matter experts with the production of their answers - Writing / reviewing / editing answers and providing written / oral feedback and guidance - Participating in a variety of customer meetings - Portal management - Acting as a point of contact for customer queries, building close and trusted relationships - Assisting customers in optimising their business development and bidding processes - Using online procurement portals, identifying and sharing possible tender opportunities for both the business and its customers - Supporting customers in preparing for presentations including facilitating meetings, preparing slide content, and observing and feeding back on "dummy" presentations About you As my client is growing, they are open to people of all experience levels.
They will consider recent graduates with a relevant degree (English, Journalism, Creative Writing etc) and some professional work experience, candidates looking for their second bid role, right through to people with 10 years experience who want a new challenge.
If you have worked within bids, my client is ideally looking for someone who is a confident bid writer, with the ability to write from scratch as well as edit and rewrite technical content.
You will also have had exposure to all stages of the bid process, preferably managing the entire bid lifecycle.
You must have excellent attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills, time management skills and the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
A strong working knowledge of using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook is essential.
What's in it for you My client is offering a salary of £35,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.
They offer 25 days holiday + bank holidays and pension match up to 5%.
The company operate a hybrid working model, working between home and their office in Leeds.
