An opportunity has arisen within a small fast-paced export focused team, who are part of a major UK/European Defence Contractor Sales and Business Development department, for an individual with energy and a strong work ethic to fulfil the dual role of Bidding and Commercial Officer. Salary: Circa £45,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 2-3 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship
Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

Provide Export Bid / Proposal Management including, planning, controlling, costing, pricing and documentation set.Challenge and manage all actions within a multi-disciplinary environment to deliver attractive proposals, collaborating with technical, engineering, commercial, procurement, legal, finance and customer support teams.Lead company bids through internal business approvals, ensuring proposals that are commercially astute and aligned with business requirements.Support contract negotiations and the preparation and negotiation of industrial agreements.Provide expertise in Terms and Conditions for domestic and export bids.What we're looking for from you: Motivated and pro-active individual with excellent interpersonal skills.Ability to see both the big picture and the finer details.Experienced in people management or with the potential to be a strong leader and organiser.Commercial, Economic or Accountancy qualifications/background an advantage but not critical for the right person.Willingness to adapt and thrive in a fluid and ever-changing bidding environment.Strong Communicator.Our company: Peace is not a given, Freedom is not a given, Sovereignty is not a given.
