Your Role: As a Behaviour Support Mentor, you'll play a crucial role in supporting children with special educational needs, helping them to succeed and thrive in their learning environment.
Working closely with the Class Teacher and Senior Leaders, you will: Provide tailored support to students with a range of needs, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and communication difficulties.
Help create a safe, structured, and engaging classroom atmosphere where every child feels respected and valued.
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs, ensuring all students have the opportunity to shine.
Take an active role in early intervention strategies, using tools like PECS or Makaton to enhance communication where needed.
What We're Looking For: ? Previous experience working with children with SEND, particularly in communication and behaviour support.
? A team player with a genuine commitment to collaboration and shared success.
? Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
? A creative and adaptable approach to tailor learning tasks to suit individual needs.
? A passion for professional growth and ongoing learning.
Bonus: Experience with PECS, Makaton, or early intervention strategies will set you apart!
