This position is based in an alternative provision setting, based across Plymouth and Exeter, where you will play an essential role in supporting students who face challenges in mainstream or special education settings, or are transitioning back from out-of-county placements.
In this role, you'll contribute to a personalised, supportive approach that meets each student's unique needs.
This included 1:1 mentoring, thematic learning, and custom timetables focused on building resilience and driving rapid academic progress.
Lessons incorporate both classroom-based and experiential learning to keep students engaged and motivated.
Essential requirements: Current DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) Confidence in working on a 1:1 basis and with small groups Relevant experience with children or adults with special educational needs A strong passion for working with young people in SEN settings Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle Minimum level 2 qualification or equivalent This role is ideal for individuals with experience in SEN settings and a commitment to furthering their skills in this area.
Those with backgrounds in healthcare, support work, or sports coaching are also encouraged to apply.
