About the Role: Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to identify and address challenging behaviour in students.
Develop and implement individualised behaviour plans to support students in making positive choices.
Foster positive relationships with students, building trust and encouraging open communication.
Advocate for students emotional well-being and mental health.
Contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment.
Prospero Teaching is able to offer the successful candidate: Accredited continued professional development courses including safeguarding and behaviour management In-house Training and Development Team Location: Bury Position: Behaviour Mentor School Hours: 08:20am - 15:45 Type: Full-Time only Minimum rate of pay: £100 Type of Work: Teaching Assistant Duration: Ongoing End Date: Ongoing Contract Type: Temporary EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor or in a similar role.
The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and staff.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
Strong understanding of child development.
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential) TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years OTHER If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
