Behaviour Mentor Position: Behaviour Mentor Location: Bodmin Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Term Time Only) Start Date: As Soon As Possible About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Mentor to support students in a local school.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing children's learning experiences in reading, writing, and numeracy.
Key Responsibilities: • Support students in class activities, focusing on literacy and numeracy.
• Foster an engaging and fun learning environment.
• Communicate effectively with the class teacher regarding student progress and areas of difficulty.
• Collaborate with the SENCO and parents as needed.
• Assist with outdoor learning activities to promote creativity.
• Participate in educational trips and assist with student supervision.
• Provide 1:1 support for students who need extra help on specific tasks.
• Utilize provided resources and learning aids to support student learning.
• Model positive behavior and promote the school's social policies to prevent bullying.
• Take initiative and be proactive in supporting the classroom environment.
Ideal Candidate: • Familiar with Child Protection, Health and Safety, Behavior Management, Teaching and Learning, and Equal Opportunities policies.
• Hold a valid Child Workforce DBS (can be obtained during the recruitment process).
• Possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
