Behaviour Buddy

Academics is excited to offer an opportunity for a Behaviour Buddy to join a dynamic school in Bexhill.
As a Behaviour Buddy, you will play an essential role in supporting children with behavioural challenges, working alongside teachers and staff to ensure a positive learning environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and small group support to students, focusing on behaviour management and emotional support.
Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging lessons, ensuring all students can access the curriculum.
Foster positive relationships with students, helping to promote self-regulation and build confidence.
Support children with special educational needs, working with teachers and other staff to implement tailored support strategies.
Maintain a calm and structured learning environment, offering guidance and support to students with challenging behaviour.
Monitor student progress and report to teaching staff, contributing to individual development plans where necessary.
What We're Looking For: Experience in a similar role, particularly working with children with behavioural needs, is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to work calmly under pressure.
