About the role: As a Behaviour and Learning Support, you will provide essential assistance to students, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN) , helping them navigate their learning journey and develop positive behaviour.
Your role will involve implementing tailored strategies to support their academic and social success while fostering an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment.
Responsibilities of the Behaviour and Learning Support: Providing individualised support to students, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), to enhance their learning and behaviour.
Implementing tailored strategies and interventions to promote positive behaviour and academic success.
Collaborating closely with classroom teachers to create an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing feedback and support to facilitate growth and development.
Fostering a safe and supportive atmosphere that encourages students to express themselves and develop their social skills.
Assist in the preparation of educational materials and resources for classroom activities.
Supervising students during breaks and transitions, ensuring their well-being and safety.
Requirements of the Behaviour and Learning Support: Experience working in a primary school setting, with a preference for candidates with Special Educational Needs (SEN) experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and colleagues.
A nurturing and patient approach, demonstrating a commitment to student development and well-being.
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
