TheStaff Bank and Agency Service was re-launched in August last year and isworking to provide a complete temporary staffing solution for all of our wardsand departments.
This is an excitingtime to join us as the service is transforming and developing into aninnovative and modern provider of temporary staffing.
You will need to be aregistered nurse (Adult) with a valid NMC number.
You will need to be areliable, enthusiastic and a self-motivated individual, You will need topossess excellent communication skills and be adaptable to changing situations.
Main duties of the job The post holder will be responsible for planning,organisation and delivery of care for patients and the supervision of juniorstaff within the team.
The post holder will be expected to take charge of theward as required.

- To organise the delivery of nursing care, deploying staffeffectively.
- To be aware of, and communicate to team members, changesto patient information and treatment plans, both verbally and in writing.
- To adhere to NMC standards of record keeping.
- To assist the Ward Sister in setting, monitoring andmaintaining standards of care.
- To participate in nursing audit and service improvementactivities eg Essence of Care - To be aware of resource constraints and the importance ofworking within budget.
- To provide advice and act as role model to other membersof the team.
- To be proactive in managing risk and maintaining patientsafety.
- To supervise the work of nursing support staff, ensuringtasks undertaken have been delegated appropriately.
- To contribute to the day-to-day management of theDirectorate, co-operating with colleagues to provide an appropriate level ofnursing service and to address bed management issues.
- To participate in education and training of junior staff.
- To involve patients/carers in the planning and delivery ofcare.
- To participate in clinical supervision.
Person Specification Statutory Registration Essential RGN NMC Registration Qualifications Essential RGN with current NMC Registration Excellent standards of nursing care Desirable Teaching/ mentoring qualification Experience Essential Experience in nursing Special Skills & Knowledge Essential Excellent communication skills Awareness of Health and Safety / Clinical Governance issues.
