Job Advert Role Description Priory Hospital Arnold is a purpose built 52 bedded acute mental health hospital, comprising of two adult acute wards and 2 Psychiatric Intensive Care Units.
At Priory Hospital Arnold our main focus is on patient experience right from the point of referral through to discharge and follow on support.
We provide services for local NHS patients and out of area patients from the NHS.

As a Bank Psychology Assistant, you will: Contribute to all aspects of the Psychology department's work with patients, particularly in terms of assessment, treatment across acute and Psychiatric Intensive Care (PICU) wards.
The post holder will be expected to facilitate groups and support the completion of assessments and positive behaviour support framework of the hospital.
This role would be appropriate for anyone wanting to gain experience before further training and would be particularly suitable for someone wanting a Career in Clinical or Forensic Psychology.
Personal/Professional Responsibilities: • Work in such a manner as to ensure a positive and co-operative relationship with all colleagues, patients and visitors.• Ensure accurate communication with staff, patients and outside agencies.• Have access to a wide range of confidential information, which must not be divulged to any unauthorised person, in any circumstances.• Abide by the legal requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.• Be required to conform to Priory Healthcare policies and procedures Person Specification: • Degree in Psychology (2:1 minimum).• Graduate basis for registration with B.P.S (eligible).• To be highly motivated and interested in working in acute and PICU setting with male and female patients presenting with a wide range of mental health difficulties • Some experience in a clinical setting is essential.• Knowledge of treatment approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy; Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and; Positive Behaviour support; would be an advantage but not essential.• Effective time management and organisational abilities Division DBS info About us As one of the UK's leading providers of behavioural care and specialist support services, Priory promise a challenging and fulfilling career with the support of a world class organisation willing to invest in your development.
