Job Description Bank Physiotherapy Technician - Berkshire Hospital - Bank Hours The role This is a varied post and involves a mixture of clinical duties on the ward alongside the inpatient team and in the outpatient department.
Clinical duties include working alongside physiotherapists on the ward seeing orthopaedic patients and in the outpatient team assisting with post-operative rehabilitation classes and physiotherapy pre assessment clinics.
There will also be the necessity to support the team with administrative duties.
Experience of working as a therapy assistant or in a hospital/caring rehabilitation environment is desirable.
This position would be an ideal opportunity if you are looking to broaden your knowledge and skills, or intend to train as a Physiotherapist in the future.
The physiotherapy department delivers a structured in-service training programme, underpinned by regular clinical supervision, mentoring, and peer group support.
Applicants will need to demonstrate sound written and verbal communication skills and basic computer skills.
They will need excellent customer service skills and be flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of the business.
The job involves the safe moving and handling of patients and equipment so the successful applicant must have good physical health to meet this need.
