Job summary We are looking fora Bank Occupational Therapiststo join our Reablement Teams based across Bath and North East Somerset!The Reablement Service is a short-term service which supports and works with people, either in their own home or in Residential or Nursing Homes aiming to maximise and maintain independence through the provision of rehabilitation and support.You will join a supportive and multi-disciplinary team consisting of Reablement Therapy Workers, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Therapy Assistant Practitioners, Care Co-Ordinators and Administrative support.
The team also works closely with local GPs and other community services such as District Nurses and Social Workers.This is a seven-day service, providing opportunities to work weekends and bank holidays, offering flexibility to suit your schedule.This role will involve travel around Bath and North East Somerset area so will require a Full UK Driving License and access to a car.
Main duties of the job As a Reablement Occupational Therapist you will: Carry out therapeutic assessment, diagnosis and treatment with patients using person centred goals.
Provide an evidence-based Occupational therapy service of a high standard, to patients in a community setting by undertaking comprehensive assessments, reassessments, care planning, rehabilitation and therapeutic care and support.
Hold responsibility for own case load working with rehabilitation therapy workers to deliver therapeutic programmes Provide effective supervision to junior Occupational Therapists, Therapy Assistant Practioners and Reablement therapy workers.
