Job summary Job Advert -- Bank Chaplain -- MuslimThe Chaplaincy at University Hospitals Birmingham is looking for individuals to join our out-of-hours on-call team to respond to emergency referrals for Muslim patients approaching the End of Life or in acute distress.
You will contribute to the on call rota caring for people from Muslim traditions.
You must be licensed and recognised and regarded within your tradition to undertake this pastoral care.The new colleagues will have pastoral, religious and spiritual maturity, an enthusiasm to care for the most vulnerable people, excellent interpersonal skills, and a willingness to work respectfully amongst people of different traditions, all faiths and none.
Experience of pastorally supporting those in acute distress would be an advantage.University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust has multiple sites: Good Hope Hospital in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, Solihull Hospital and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

Ordinarily, be able to attend to patient within an hour of receiving an urgent call unless flexibility is negotiated with the Head of Chaplaincy and referring clinical colleague.

*University accredited Degree level theological training or equivalent Desirable *Licensed within the Muslim community to undertake pastoral, spiritual and religious activities.
