Job summary To facilitate Safe Harbour provision in Woking.
This is a six-week referral only non-clinicalservice from 9am 6pm seven days per week for those aged 18 plus.The aim ofthe Safe Harbour is to provide service users with a programme of support andpsycho-social education tailored around an individuals circumstances and needsas identified on their support plan which:Reduces the frequency andseverity of mental health crises these users may experience and provides them with alternativestrategies for de-escalation when they do reach crisis.
Main duties of the job Provide support to clientsattending the Safe Harbour both in personand virtually on site, and in thecommunity, both on a one to one and group basisCo-facilitate the Safe Harbourtimetable, namely activity sessions for example peer support discussion,crafts or a local walk and a drop in sessionInductclients and create collaborative and individualised care plans and facilitatethe setting of SMART goalsKeepelectronic attendance and participation records Work within GDPR and Information Governance guidelines to ensureconfidentiality is maintainedAssistclients in de-escalating and managing impulsivity, intense emotions andrelationship difficultiesCreate safety plans for those experiencing thoughts of self-harm,suicide and other risk-taking urgesRisk assess clients attending in acute mentalhealth crisis and contact relevant parties such as the Single Point of Access or the emergency servicesProvide a continual assessment of a personsneeds regarding their mental healthFollowCatalyst Support incident reporting procedure and complete incident formsWork proactively with partneragency staff to ensure continuity of careMaintain an honest, robust,person centred and caring approachto the client groupAttend external and internalmeetings as requiredand as appropriate for the roleSignpost clients to internal and external methodsof support and make onward referralsCommunicate confidently and effectively, verballyand in writing About us Its not just about what we offer,but how we offer it.Catalyst is a non-profit organisation working with people to support their health and wellbeing.Establishedin Guildford for over 30 years, we provide services alongside a variety of statutory and Voluntary, Communityand Social Enterprise (VCSE) colleagues in Surrey and its borders.We believechange is achievable when offered by a flexible,respectful, inclusive and a non-judgemental approach.

Person Specification Experience Essential Robust professional boundaries Experience working in mental health field Sound working knowledge of Safeguarding legislation Experience operating within Information Governance guidelines Experience delivering person centred interventions relating to mental health Experience of group work and co-facilitation Working knowledge of conducting dynamic risk assessments Ability to work collaboratively with partner agencies and those with lived experience Good administrative, recording and reporting skills Confidence to work on own initiative as well as part of the team.
Confident with IT and database systems.
Ability to critically reflect and evaluate interventions and service delivery.
Respond flexibly to the demands of the post and remain calm under pressure.
