In this senior role, you will be responsible for co-ordinating and managing Estates engineering projects.
You will ensure compliance with all appropriate legislative and statutory requirements, and Trust and NHS guidance and frameworks, with the challenge of achieving the most efficient and economical use of the Trust's expenditure.
You will also be key in the development and delivery of the Trust's ambitious and exciting backlog maintenance programme, delivering some of the most challenging and complex engineering projects in a healthcare setting.
Main duties of the job To advise and support the Estates Programme Manager, DCE/HPD, Project Sponsors, Project Board/team and senior clinicians and to take predominant responsibility for the coordination, management, and delivery of major engineering projects to ensure objectives are achieved in terms of specific performance, time, cost and quality.

Person Specification Chartered Construction professional RICS, RIBA, C Eng or similar Degree/Diploma in line with key competencies in construction and contract management Diploma in Project Management World Class Values Demonstrate ability to meet Trust Values Experience Experience of a variety of project planning and programming techniques Proven expertise to lead, plan, manage, interact with colleagues and deliver projects successfully in a spirit of cooperation.
Experience as Contract Administrator for ECC/JCT forms of contract Skills and aptitudes Ability to seek and share information and ideas in a confident and compelling manner, using a range of techniques to achieve an effective outcome.
Clear aptitude to engage with internal and external stakeholders and service providers and business partners to proactively manage the utility and value of the estate.
Knowledge of ECC/JCT suite of contracts.
Knowledge of HBN's, Firecode, HGN's and HTM's.
Comprehensive ability to use Microsoft Project, project management software & Microsoft Office.
Good written communication and analytical skills.
Ability to analyse income and expenditure financial information rapidly and apply sound commercial acumen and sound technical knowledge to maximise value of healthcare estate.
Ability to act autonomously in predicting and responding to property management problems to ensure mitigation of risk.
Ability to train and teach others and act as workplace mentor in property management and general professional development.
Comprehensive ability to use Autocad.
