Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager to join the CDG9a management team within the Trauma and Orthopaedics Department.
The post holder will be joining the CDG at an exciting time where we are focused on our financial recovery, working on new opportunities to improve our services and overall experience for our patients.
The role will consist of providing support to the Senior Management team to ensure that agreed performance objectives are achieved.This role demands excellent prioritisation skills, problem solving abilities and a collaborative approach.
You will need proven experience in management/leadership and an eye for detail, including excellent interpersonal skills.
You will need to be resilient, flexible to changing priorities and remain calm under pressure.

Main duties of the job The Operations Manager will work with the General Manager to provide business and managerial support in order that the activity, quality and financial objectives of the above are successfully delivered.In particular the Operations Manager will focus on ensuring that patients receive treatment within NHS agreed waiting times by ensuring daily management of all of the key performance and national standards; RTT, and the Tertiary referrals.To be a member of the Departmental Management team, deputising for the General Manager when required, to provide and manage services to meet the needs of the service and Clinical Divisional Group.Ensure accurate information is available and recorded monitoring the implementation of any agreed actions which need to be undertaken to ensure that targets are met.
To be responsible for the line management of defined staff and teams.Work under own initiative with minimal guidance from the General Manager.
Manage and perform audits and co-ordinate projects that require excellent planning and organizational skills and require the use of own judgement to prioritize workload effectively.Assist in the formulation of business cases as required to support service developments, in conjunction with the General Manager.
