Job summary The Outreach Nursing Team possesses a wealth of experience in specialist palliative care, supporting children, their families and professionals involved, with advice, symptom control support and management throughout the palliative care pathway in a variety of community settings within the 6 counties of the catchment area.
We are looking for a Band 7 Childrens Outreach Specialist Nurse for a 1 year fixed term maternity cover.
You will need to be an autonomous practitioner with community experience and have the vision to deliver and support exceptional palliative care within a variety of settings which will make a real difference to children and their families.
You will work as part of a wider team of other nurses, doctors, nursery nurses, Family Support Services and Volunteers within Helen & Douglas House as well as working collaboratively with external multi-disciplinary professionals in the childs own community and help drive our service forward.

Helen & Douglas House is a registered childrens hospice charity based in Oxford, providing palliative, respite, end-of-life and bereavement care to life-limited children and their families in Oxford and the surrounding counties.
We work in partnership with parents and other multi-disciplinary professionals, providing palliative care expertise and developing clinical skills to ensure the individual needs of our patients are met.This is a full-time 1-year fixed term maternity cover (part time hours will be considered).Pay range is £49,873 £56,920 per annum pro rata.
