We are seeking talented and motivated pharmacist to join the Heartlands site in Respiratory Medicine.This post will enable the delivery of a clinically focused and innovative pharmacy service working within a strong specialist team.

Main duties of the job We are looking for enthusiastic clinical pharmacists who is capable of working in the Respiratory medicine team who is motivated with good communication skills and a desire to use their knowledge, skills and experience to improve patient care and influence healthcare professionals in the best use of medicines.Depending on previous experience and qualifications there is an opportunity to develop in this role from a senior support pharmacist (band 7) into a Specialist Clinical Pharmacist role (band 8a) or start at this level.
Through a structured and supported development program a set of criteria is used to ensure you are supported and achieve key skills and knowledge before moving into the specialist role.You will have a patient facing role supporting the specialty within Respiratory medicine understanding treatment pathways for COPD, Bronchiectasis, Asthma and ILD.
You will be supported to undertake your NMP or if already achieved in another area develop your knowledge into this field.There is also the opportunity to understand and deliver Cost Improvement Programs (CIP) to support the speciality and department.
In addition completion of audits and Quality Improvement Project (QIP) to present to the speciality meetings will be supported.You will join a large specialist pharmacy team covering multiple areas to support pharmacists working closely at your base site and with the team across all sites.
You will be supported by a team of more experienced pharmacists to develop.

Job description Job responsibilities *Please Note : For a detailed job description for this vacancy, please see attached Job Description* Person Specification Qualifications Essential *Vocational Masters degree in pharmacy (or equivalent) *Membership of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) *Has completed a postgraduate clinical pharmacy qualification or equivalent advanced practice.
*To be willing to work towards a non-medical prescribing qualification Desirable *Has completed a non-medical prescribing course and registered as an NMP with the GPhC *Working towards Level I Faculty Membership with the RPS Experience Essential *Possesses relevant clinical knowledge in complex clinical pharmacy settings.
*Previous participation in multi-disciplinary team *Demonstrates commitment and enthusiasm for providing high quality pharmaceutical care.
*Experience of teaching/presenting to other healthcare professionals/patients *Commitment to own Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Desirable *Experience in the specific speciality Additional Criteria Essential *Able to demonstrate professional approach.
*Well-motivated and reliable *Able to work with all grades and staff roles.
*Capacity to work calmly under pressure.
*Ability to travel across all Trust sites as required by job role
