Job summary NHS Somerset Integrated Care Board (ICB) is looking forcandidates who are passionate about developing metrics to demonstrate benefitsof transformational healthcare changes and can support the ICB on a full termbasis.
The postholder will be joining a small, enthusiastic TransformationManagement Office working at the heart of the ICS to transform the healthcareof Somerset residents.NHS Somerset ICB is responsible for commissioning health andcare services for our 600,000 residents.
We play a pivotal role in bringingorganisations together to work as one integrated care system (ICS), forSomerset.
An ICS is a partnership between the NHS, local council, voluntaryservices and other organisations working together to plan and deliver joined upservices to improve the lives of people in our area.The post holder will require strong analytical skills and beable to provide detailed data insights reports that inform metrics, strategicdecisions and enhance priority programme effectiveness.
By analysing and translating complex datainto actionable outcomes, and monitoring benefits, the Data Analyst will play akey role in ensuring the success of transformation programmes in the SomersetSystem.We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if sufficient applications are received prior to the advertised closing date.
Main duties of the job You will work directly with the Head ofTransformation Management Office to support with the priority programmes datametrics and benefit realisation.The key duties and responsibilities of the role include:Delivery of timely, accurate reporting and information,adding intelligence and insight to data analysis including investigatingdeviations, trends, identifying areas of improvement, tracking benefits and keyperformance indicators and providing explanations to inform relevantTransformation Programme Managers, and other colleagues.You will be expected to identify data qualityissues with programme data, ensuring support to teams to improve data qualityand lead on regular review of data processes and implement efficiencies whereimprovements are required.
This may involve representing the team at a range ofmeetings including production and delivery of reports and associatedbriefings.You will support the Transformation ManagementOffice with data queries, analytical assistance and understanding of complexinformation, to include benefits realisation.
You will also createand deliver reports and associated briefings, required by the team and widersystem, in an understandable way for all audiences, including workforcecolleagues and the public.

Job description Job responsibilities PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:TheTransformation Management Office is responsible for driving complex initiativesacross Somerset to execute theIntegrated Care Board (ICB) and Somerset systems strategic goals and vision ofstrategic transformation.
It fosterscontinuous improvement and a comprehensive approach that integrates digital,health and care change programmes.TheAnalyst will be responsible for developing the Transformation Management Officerelated information and benefits reporting to meet internal and external dataand information requirements.
The role will be key in analysing andinterpreting complex information and data.
The Analyst will also ensure theavailability of timely and high-quality reports to the relevant committees andgroups.TheAnalyst will be responsible for the delivery of timely, accurate reporting andinformation adding intelligence and insight to data analysis includinginvestigating deviations, trends, identifying areas of improvement, trackingbenefits and key performance indicators and explaining this information torelevant members of the Transformation Management Office and Programme Managers.KEY RESPONSIBILTIES OF THE ROLE:Theduties and responsibilities of the role are: Develop,produce and interpret data needed for the management and outcome reporting ofthe transformation change programmes of work.
Develop acomprehensive reporting schedule which is consistent with the overall programmetimetable, meeting the strategic direction of the programme.
Provideeffective and robust high-quality information and analytical support, which isrelevant, timely and proactive to relevant members of the Transformation Management Office and Programme Managers.
Design,develop and run routine management reports.
Support TransformationManagement Office and Programme Managers in undertaking reporting and analysisof information for delivery of the transformation programmes.
Undertake,maintain and develop regular and ad hoc reports using a broad range of toolsand techniques, and to provide detailed advice, support and guidance to TransformationManagement Office and Programme Managers using specialist knowledge.
Support TransformationManagement Office and Programme Managers in developing information for benefitsrealization and key performance indicators associated with each transformationprogramme.
Matrix workwith other relevant teams/individuals across the ICB and the system to supportthe development of a system wide data strategy and associated workstreams toimprove sharing of data and its applied use for intelligence and insight as asystem approach.
Lead theongoing identification and resolution of data quality issues with programmedata, and support teams to improve data quality.
Support the Transformation Management Office withdata queries, analytical assistance and understanding of complex information,to include benefits realisation.
Lead on regular review of all transformationprogramme data processes and to implement efficiencies where improvements arerequired.
Assess that data is fit for purpose and can beaccurately used for analysis, escalating where there is a data quality concern,and developing associated action plans to improve data quality.
Receive, collate and analyse complex data to supportprojects and programmes in determining trends, patterns and anomalies.
Work with the wider Somerset System to enableaccurate and effective sharing of information for the transformation programmesand being a key connection between data colleagues in the ICS.
Production and delivery of reports and associatedbriefings required by the team and wider system, in an understandable way forall audiences, including workforce colleagues and the public.
Use initiative to develop and undertake follow upqueries to highly complex information requests where the solution is notimmediately obvious.
Work with the team, leading by example on all datarequirements.
Develop analyses, dashboards and reports as neededfor the Head of Transformation Management Office and other team members tosupport transformation management.
Prioritiseconflicting demands to undertake specific pieces of work and projects emergingfrom the Transformation Programmes.
