Job Description Band 6 Speech and Language TherapistSalary: Up to £50,000 (pro-rata) Our client is seeking a skilled Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join their rehabilitation service in Birmingham, offering flexible hours within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team environment.
This specialist centre works with individuals recovering from severe brain injuries, providing tailored rehabilitation focused on restoring independence and enhancing quality of life with dignity and respect.
The ideal candidate will have: Qualifications: A degree in Speech and Language Therapy and registration with the HCPC.
Dysphagia Competencies: Recognized dysphagia competencies with the ability to manage complex cases in adult neurology.
Specialised Knowledge: Expertise in Speech and Language therapy models and interventions related to ABI, including cognitive communication, social communication, and partner training.
Experience: Experienced in managing complex cases, particularly within an adult neurology setting.

Our client is looking for a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist ready to take on a leadership role within a multi-disciplinary team.
In this position, you will: Autonomous Practice: Operate as an independent speech and language therapist within the multidisciplinary team, leading assessments and treatment.
Communication Assessment and Intervention: Evaluate how a person's communication abilities impact daily activities, devising effective intervention strategies.
Collaborative Problem Solving: Work closely with the individual and their social network to address communication barriers.
Specialised Assessment and Management Plans: Conduct assessments for both communication and complex dysphagia, developing individualized management plans, and seeking specialist input as needed.
Training and Development: Provide training for both staff and the social network of service users, fostering a supportive and informed environment.
Service Development: Contribute to the evolution of the service through strategic insights and leadership.
