Role Overview: Work within a 22-bedded unit at Olympic Lodge, providing physiotherapy to patients who are medically fit for discharge (MFFD) but do not require acute care.
Treat patients with a wide variety of conditions, working in close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team (MDT) and external agencies to facilitate safe and effective discharge planning.
Provide physiotherapy assessments, treatments, and rehabilitation to patients awaiting discharge.
Ensure holistic care is provided in line with individual patient needs.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality physiotherapy interventions tailored to the needs of patients in a rehabilitation setting.
Work alongside social services, nursing teams, and external agencies to coordinate discharge planning.
Contribute to MDT meetings and patient care planning.
Supervise and mentor junior staff or students within the team.
Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives.
