Role: Occupational Therapist Banding: Band 6 Location: Wheatley Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Salary: £35,617 - £43,027 per annum Pulse have recently partnered with one of the leading healthcare providers.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in Wheatley.
As an Occupational Therapist, you will be a crucial part of our multi-disciplinary clinical team, supporting educational and residential colleagues to create therapeutic living and learning environments.
Based on clinical assessment and formulation, you will offer individualized interventions and engagement to our young people.
You will work collaboratively within our schools and children's homes, ensuring that therapeutic support permeates every aspect of the education, care, and support we offer.
Your main responsibilities as an Occupational Therapist: You will conduct comprehensive assessments of students' needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
You will provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in groups.
You will collaborate with teachers, residential staff, and other professionals to create supportive and therapeutic environments.
You will offer consultation, workshops, training, and guidance to educational and residential teams.
You will monitor and evaluate the progress of students and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
You will maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions and student progress.
You will participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings to discuss and plan for student needs.
You will support the development and implementation of school-wide therapeutic programs and initiatives.
You will engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in occupational therapy.
What we are looking for in an Occupational Therapist: A qualified Occupational Therapist registered with the HCPC.
Experienced in delivering therapeutic interventions for children and young people with complex needs.
Skilled in supporting teams around a child or young person to ensure clinically informed living and learning environments.
A confident, engaging, and effective model, guide, leader, and trainer.
Highly organized and proactive.
Committed to ensuring the best outcomes for young people.
