Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to join a well established and pro-active Digital Skills Training Team as a Digital Skills Training and Support Officer.The post holder provides administrative support to the Digital Skills Training Team acting as the first point of contact for training enquiries received via online forms, email and telephone.We are looking for a self motivated, flexible person with a can-do attitude and an eye for detail.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, embrace change, enjoy a challenge, and have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.Please note the role is primarialy office based at Gee House, the post holder will be required to work from the office with occasional home working.
Main duties of the job Main duties of the job are to: Assist the Digital Skills Training Manager in the Department's administration dutiesCommunicate effectively with team colleagues, internal BCHC staff and external agenciesDeal directly and pro-actively with all correspondence, including matters which are confidential or sensitiveWork independently to resolve day to day issuesMonitor and amend (where required) staff records on the ESR systemManage issues arising within the Department ensuring they are dealt with effectively, efficiently and appropriately About us BCHC has more than 5000 staff working across Birmingham and the West Midlands in a wide range of community nursing and specialist healthcare roles.

Job description Job responsibilities Please refer to attached Job Description and Personal Specification documents for full details of the main duties and responsibilities.The post holder willwork with an experienced team of Digital Skills Trainers to support with the provision of an efficient Digital Skills training service to the Trust.They will be responsible for supporting the day to day running of the Digital Skills Training team, handling training requests and bookings effectively and efficiently and for maintaining and updating accurate training records.
Person Specification Qualifications & Training Essential qualification ECDL/ RSA/ OCR or equivalent experience in using Microsoft applications Educated to O Level/ GCSE standard with Grades C and above in Maths and English or equivalent Desirable Willingness to undertake further training as the role develops Experience Essential Significant experience of working in a similar position or equivalent A high standard of proven administration skills with ability to input accurate information onto databases Strong communication skills at all levels Experience of delivering delicate information which will require tact and diplomacy Advanced experience of using Microsoft Word and Excel Desirable Health service background desirable Skills & Knowledge Essential Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Ability to go talk through training problem areas with users on a 1-1 basis and also by telephone Experience in delivering delicate information to users Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise own workload Ability to work both individually and as part of a Team Strong organisational skills High level of accuracy Ability to achieve high degree of accuracy in a pressurised environment Capable of managing time effectively and with flexibility with little or no supervision To work on own initiative Personal Qualities Essential Flexible approach Self motivated Desirable Outgoing and approachable Enjoys a challenge Embraces change Empathetic to others
