Job summary The Cancer Services Division at UHB delivers world class cancer care to patients from across the country, with a range of specialised services in oncology and haematology, delivered by a team of specialist pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and assistant technical officers.We are pleased to offer this exciting opportunity to join our friendly and dynamic team, to assist in the provision of high quality aseptic services to patients across the West Midlands.

The role includes the following tasks:*Stock management*Assembly of raw materials*Transferring products into the unit*Aseptic preparation in isolators*Cleaning of the unit*Performing validations*Dispensing ready-made products*Dispatching products for delivery*Using computer systems*Completing documentationThe position is predominantly based at Melchett Road Aseptic Unit., but cross-site work at Heartlands Aseptic Dispensing Unit may be required.Full training will be provided to ensure you feel confident in this role.
This includes an in-house training pack as well as the opportunity to attend external courses.Opportunities for career progression are available with Band 4 Specialist Assistant Technical Officer positions available in the aseptic unit.
