Job summary To ensure that we continue to give the very best care to our patients we need to train and develop our staff.
Warrington and Halton NHS Teaching Hospital has clearly set out what is expected of our HCAs and the competences they are expected to achieve.All HCAs joining the Trust are expected to be working towards the 10 competencies and maintain up to date mandatory training requirements which include venepuncture, cannulation, removal of canula and catheter, blood glucose testing, physiological observations, ECGs, basic wound dressings, urinalysis and swabs, ANTT.The role of the HCA is to assist the Registered Nurse in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care.
The post holder will be required to work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the individual needs of patients and their families.
Main duties of the job The post holder is responsible for carrying out assigned tasks involving direct patient care in support of and supervised by an Assistant Practitioner/ Registered Nurse, maintaining a high standard of quality patient care and staff morale through personal example, good conduct and appearance.
