The vacancy will be based at Moseley Hall Hospital.
You will receive a comprehensive training package and support, working with the team, the team leader and your line manager.

Main duties of the job To provide a professional, effective, and comprehensive reception service to all service users at Trust and non-Trust sites (where required).
The post holder will have responsibility for ensuring good public relations by maintaining a professional first point of contact to all visitors.
The post holder will provide a front-line customer focused reception service, ensuring that the needs of staff, patients and visitors are always met.
The post holder will be expected to a range of clerical tasks.

Job description Job responsibilities To receive all patients/clients/visitors to the Centre/Clinic in a courteous and welcoming manner directing them to the appropriate room/department.
To be aware of times patients/clients/visitors are waiting and inform departments/clinicians as appropriate.
To answer queries from patients/clients/visitors, their relations, or carers both face to face and on the telephone, seeking advice from the professional staff where appropriate.
This requires the post holder to maintain a working knowledge of Trust services and where they can be accessed.
Liaise with staff and security to ensure cars are parked in designated areas only outside Main Reception parking area, including operation of the barrier entry system.
To monitor and operate CCTV cameras alerting security to potential issues.
To be responsible for the issue of temporary control fobs/swipe cards for authorised personnel Doctors, Bank and Agency Workers, and highlighting any concerns to management.
To book transport and collection of bloods and samples from Moseley Hall Hospital Reception to Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
To keep a log of jobs for Porters and assign jobs to porters via handheld radio ensuring the radios are kept fully charged.
To provide cover for Switchboard on an ad hoc basis.
To ensure that reception area is maintained in a clean and tidy state and that reception walkways are clear of obstructions and following the clear desk policy.
To maintain day to day functioning of the photocopier and undertake photocopying and printing as required printing of Reception Rota.
To print and display the Room Booking entries for meeting rooms on a daily basis.
To maintain key cabinets, ensuring all keys are clearly labelled and signed in and out.
To receive and sort internal and external post redirecting mails as appropriate.
To receive and log special and recorded delivery items, contacting relevant staff and departments to arrange for collection.
Person Specification Essential Essential GCSE English & Maths or equivalent Word Processing Qualification RSA I/II or equivalent IT literacy - use of MS Office Packages including Word, Email, Internet, Excel and Access Desirable NHS experience Knowledge of databases and spread sheets and able to input information accurately.
Ability to maintain office based systems, filing, ordering and recording.
