\nWhat you'll be doing:
\n\nLeading test and commissioning activities, de-conflicting tasks, briefing teams and overseeing work\nDeputise for relevant Commissioning Project Leader as and when is required, including supervision of personnel on shift\nResponsible for safe plant operation, maintain awareness of plant state and consequences of activities\nCarry out routine work with limited supervision and have an understanding of safety consequences in a high risk environment\nLiaise/Interface with relevant stakeholders to ensure activities are undertaken in a safe and compliant manor\nInstruct and mentor less experienced members of the team with your knowledge and competency\nRepresenting the Company on Contractors Sea Trials and other outworking requirements\n\nYour skills and experiences:
\n\nDegree/HNC/HND in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience\nExperience in Commissioning and/or maintaining electrical, control, and instrumentation systems in a highly regulated industry\nWorking with high levels of detail recording and reviewing results\nAbility to understand complex EC&I systems i.e., drawings, diagrams, and procedures\nAwareness of the process to commission a new facility\nKnowledge and experience of Instrumentation Systems including Electrostatic Discharges, Low Voltage Control, Data Communications, and Fibre Optics\n\nBenefits:

\nThe Reactor Test Section team:
\nAs the Principal Commissioning Engineer, you will be at the start of one the largest and most complex engineering programmes taken on nationally.
It is an opportunity to work on first of class submarines, sharing your knowledge and mentoring less experienced engineers to help achieve our goals.
You will also be involved in key event testing for Dreadnought on the new design of the reactor plant.
