Job Title: Technical Consultant – Storage and Backup Location: Surrey, UK Hybrid: 2 days a week in office Salary: up to £75k (DOE) + bonus Our client a leading Financial Services company, are seeking a Backup and Storage engineer to join their Technology Infrastructure Services team.
You'll specialise in Storage & Backup administration, ensuring seamless service delivery and automation in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities: Administer Storage & Backup platforms, including HA solution design Automate systems operations and perform routine maintenance Handle service requests and incidents related to Netapp, Isilon, and NBU backup Support regional project management and system implementations Essential Skills: Must have experience with Netbackup V9 or above Proficient in UNIX & Windows system administration Strong experience in Backup products (Data Domain, DDboost) Good understanding of data replication (NetApp snapmirror, DataDomain mtree) Automation skills with scripting languages (Python, Linux Shell, PowerShell) Knowledge of SAN products (Dell PowerMax/Vmax) Familiarity with cloud services (Azure, AWS) and resource deployment (Terraform) Excellent communication skills for effective problem-solving
