Azure Security Engineer

Trident have partnered with a utilities organisation that are expanding their internal security team, we're looking for an Azure Security Engineer to join the team.
The Security Engineer is responsible for implementing, configuring, and enhancing the security technology portfolio.
This role is part of the Security Engineering team within the Security Operations group, a key element of the broader Information Security function.
This is a proactive, technical position that requires a candidate with strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities and an eagerness to learn new technologies.
Your responsibilities will include: Providing day-to-day support and maintenance for security tools.
Maximizing security impact from current investments.
Monitoring capacity for security tools and supporting infrastructure, with projections for future needs.
Developing security configurations for microservices, serverless computing, and software-as-a-service security solutions.
Who You'll Work With Internal Partners: Security Engineering Lead Security Incident Response Lead Security Operations Manager Security Architects IT & OT Engineers/Architects Project & Program Managers External Partners: IT & Security Outsource Partners IT & Security Product Vendors About You Proven experience in supporting IT/Security infrastructure.
A solid technical background, with knowledge and skills in one or more of the following technologies: Web Proxy / Content Filtering Email Filtering Endpoint Detection and Response Host-Based Firewalling, HIDS/HIPS Anti-malware solutions Microsoft Office 365 / Azure Security products Ability to quickly adopt and learn new technologies, applying the latest approaches to strengthen the organization's overall security posture.
Good to Know This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of one day per week required in our Cardiff / Newport office.
