Role Type: Permanent Salary : £55,000 per annum Hybrid – 2 days' work from Telford office Job description - Collaborate with architects and clients to establish cloud economics tools and platforms based on Federal and Industry Cloud(specifically AWS) FinOps best practices.
- Develop agency and program specific framework for FinOps principals, personas (roles), domains (areas of focus) and roadmap for Cloud(specifically AWS) FinOps to provide financial recommendations for cloud usage.
- Collaborate with staff on cloud(specifically AWS) improvements.
Create and present financial models and reports.
- Continuously monitor cost of services and perform Total Cost of Ownership studies.
- Manage central financial control centre to promote cost transparency.
- Identify and categorize services by sub-accounts.
- Help develop the billing and analytics engines of the centralized decision-making portal.
- Meet with individual customers to review and optimize their specific cloud instance spend as directed by the Government.
Required Qualifications: WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED • Education: Bachelor degree • Required Experience: 10+ years of experience with IT systems to include 5+ years of experience with cloud systems; 3+ years of cloud financial/economics experience; 3+ years of project experience in a multi-cloud environment / AWS • Required Skills And Abilities: • Knowledge of specific FinOps tools such as KION, Apptio, CloudChkr and cloud native cost optimization tools • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience working with stakeholders and development teams.
• Strong communication skills, oral and written, to convey cloud technologies and solutions to customer personnel.
• Experience with relational databases, data extraction, and data analysis tools.. • Understanding of industry best practices related to Cloud resource tagging and tagging enforcement through automation.
